Log 01_beings_of_the_gray

The language that I write in will be unknown to you, of that I am sure. This log contains an advanced translation algorithm that will determine the best form to present the information to a variety of readers.

I write from the PolyCitadel in the city of Vallis near the center of Ostraca. In these logs, I will recount my findings of our research into The Gray and the beings that linger within.

Subject: Tomb Angel
Origin: Unknown, discovered after the Scattering
Purpose: Protector

The entity I have deemed 'Tomb Angel' was discovered in the cold depths of The Gray, situated in what I believe to be a valley of trees and plants of unknown origin. It is eternal night where the Tomb Angel dwells.

Deep within this valley there rests a variety of metal sepulchres. We have not been able to discover who or what is entombed there, but only know that the Tomb Angel guards them. The Tomb Angel is no doubt a wielder of great power, as all of our expeditions to search the valley and the sepulchres have rendered our researchers maimed or inflicted with some kind of strange madness. Their circuitry has been completely rewired in ways that I have never seen.

The Tomb Angel is an angel of shadow, with wings of black glass and the ability to change its size at any given moment. Some deep power rests in the glass of its wings and it has been known to tear at the fabric of The Gray itself. I believe that its ability to corrupt the datastreams is a similar power to how it causes madness.

There seems to be no method to getting closer to the sepulchres and discovering what might be inside of them. As advanced weaponry is forbidden in Ostraca, there is no way to test the aggressiveness of this creature. However, I do not lament that it has not moved beyond its valley, for I shudder to think what might happen. For now, it seems content to guard the sepulchres.

I will continue my research into the Tomb Angel and continue this report as I gather further information.
